Configuring Time Off Types
Setting generic leave type
- Go to the "Time Off Types" section in the admin panel.
- For each Time Off Type that should appear as generic to regular staff, set the display name to a generic term like "Off" or "Leave".
Adding shift notes for admins
- When scheduling Time Off for staff, add a shift note with the specific leave type or reason.
- The shift note will only be visible to admins and supervisors.
Adjusting Site Settings
Enabling shift note visibility for privileged users
- Go to the "Site Settings" page in the admin panel.
- Locate the setting for "Shift Note Visibility".
- Select the option to make shift notes visible only to privileged users (admins and supervisors).
- Save the settings.
With these configurations, regular staff members will only see a generic "Off" or "Leave" status on the schedule, while admins and supervisors can view the specific leave type or reason in the shift notes.
