Daylight Saving Time

There are two ways that our system can handle Daylight Saving Time (spring forward, fall back) for you. You will need to choose one or the other.

 


Choose Your Preferred Setting

To begin, go here (Admin Tab -> Options -> Site Settings).
 

One of the final settings on the Site Settings page is labeled "Account for Daylight Saving Time". This is a checkbox that allows you to specify (for the entire site) how you want hours calculated when a shift traverses a "Spring-Forward" or "Fall-Back" time.
 

  • If checked, a night shift worker during "spring forward" will be credited with 1 fewer hours worked, and a night shift worker during "fall back" will be credited with 1 additional hour worked.
     
  • If not checked, daylight saving time will have no effect on the hours calculations.

After checking or un-checking this checkbox, please allow 24 hours for all changes to your hours bank calculations to take effect.
