Depending on how your department handles payroll for employees who trade shifts, you may find our Even Trade Worked/ Even Trade Off functionality useful. We have a workflow in our system to handle hours calculations in the following manner if needed:
- Person A (The person who was originally supposed to work) - Person A still gets paid even though this person has traded away the shift. Despite being paid, Person A does not show up as manpower.
- Person B (The person who is covering for Person A) - Person B does not get paid even though this person is now working for Person A. Person B will show up as manpower.
If this scenario describes how your department operates, please ask our support team at [email protected] to turn on Even Trade Worked for your department.
Once Even Trades are enabled for your department, the following will happen automatically:
- When a Cover request for Person B covering for Person A is approved, Person A will be automatically be given "Even Trade Off" (indicating he/she will still be paid, but is not manpower), and Person B will automatically be given "Even Trade Worked" (indicating he/she will not be paid, but counts as manpower).
- When a Trade request between Person A and Person B is approved, on each day of the trade, the Cover logic described here will happen automatically, where the off person will be given "Even Trade Off" and the working person will be given "Even Trade Worked"
