Difference Staffing Totals

As an alternative to standard minimum staffing totals, Difference Staffing displays the difference between your current manpower vs needed manpower in a +/- or Over/Under easy to digest format.

 

Rather than giving you the total number of manpower working, Over / Under Totals instead tell you the number of manpower above to below your daily requirements.

Enable/Disable Difference Minimum Staffing Totals

To enable Difference Staffing Totals for your Scheduler site, go here...

 

  • Admin Tab -> Settings -> Site Settings

Once you've opened the "Site Settings" page, the "" checkbox must be enabled. Checkmark that box, then click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

 

Finally, for each minimum staffing policy that you would like to display the difference staffing view go to:

  • Admin Tab -> Shifts & Coverage -> Minimum Staffing
  • Select a policy by clicking on one of the days for the policy
  • Then check the checkbox for "DIFFERENCE COUNTING ENABLED" and click "Save"

 

 

Your Schedule is now using Difference Staffing Totals, check it out by visiting the "Calendar" tab. Keep in mind that even though the summary number has been simplified, the calculations and details are still being run and tracked, and you can still view the hourly breakdown of your staffing levels (with actual numbers) by right-clicking the staffing cell itself on the grid.
