If you need to give someone elevated permissions on the site, there are two ways. One is via "Employee Permissions," and the other is via "Supervisor Rules." We are going to cover Employee Permissions in this article. This article will be updated periodically once new permissions get released.

Employee Permissions dictate users' access to certain features in the system, such as reports, Message Blasts, etc. Site Admins will always have all permissions enabled and hard-coded in. On the other hand, supervisors and Basic Users can be given some, all, or none of these permissions.

Assigning Permissions Per-Person

To begin, go here: (Admin Tab -> Employees -> Employee Permissions)

You'll arrive at a page similar to this one.

Within each row is a user on your site who has their own respective column of checkboxes. These checkboxes correspond to permissions you can enable/disable for anyone within your department.

Permissions

  • Enables the user the ability to access the Employee Permissions page and will be able to enable/disable permission for individuals within the department, including themself.
    • It is recommended that this special permission only be enabled for your site Admins.

View/Edit Employees

  • Enables the user the ability to view the contact information for employees on the Calendar Page
  • Can Add and Edit but not remove employees from the Employee Page
  • Grants access to the Availabilities page (if enabled) and allow modifications to the schedule  *we are currently in the process of removing this access for this permission
  • Grants access to the Supervisor Rules *we are currently in the process of removing this access for this permission

Assignments & Inventory

  • Enables users to add, edit, remove, and assign assets (cars, weapons, tasers, etc.) and Areas/Beats/Sectors/Assignments, etc. This does NOT allow them to assign Special Assignments, Overtime, Time Offs, etc. It is strictly for Assets and regular Assignments

Message Blasts

  • Enables the user the ability to send Message Blasts. These are one-way emails/texts that you can send to individuals, groups of people, or the entire dept.

Reports

  • Enables the user to view various reports for all users in the department rather than just their own reports
  • This permission will grant them access to ALL report sections.  We are not able to single out sections at this time

Grid Highlighting

  • Enables the user to utilize the Grid Highlighting features on the Calendar Tab, including leaving daily notes, blocking time off on certain days, and applying highlights to Day and Date cells or the entire Column

You can learn more about Grid Highlighting in this article: Grid Highlighting

Edit Lockouts

  • Enables the user to set up Lockout periods and view the calendar during those lockout periods
  • They will also need either the View/Edit Employees permission or Permissions Page to access the Lockout Periods page within the Admin tab.

Can Show/Hide Legend Items

(coming soon)

  • Enables the user to show/hide the Legend items specified as hidden

Can View Shareable Contact Info

  • Enables the user to access contact information such as mobile number, email, and address when right-clicking on a person on the Calendar page
  • The information that is shared can be removed or added within your Admin Site Settings
